Also love how this looks almost grey-scale, with the few colors that are there being "washed out" so it doesn't stand out too much and doesn't bring the piece out of balance, if you know what I mean

And yes, black fur was always the most difficult thing to draw for me because I did it always too dark and so has the the wolf lost his form.
But at least I'm with color pencils slowly getting better. Next Sation is therefore the brush and how you might have seen at my latest painting, it works still not so good, but I like the challenge.^^ The background would become almost dark, but a black wolf on dark background... well, I've tried a few times and it looks really not so good. Therefore Killian is out for the day, which is perhaps not so threatening, but I believe I have draw him threatening enough. The one with the teeth may be true, I have tried this typical snarl, where the wolf's nose attracts so high, have perhaps a bit exaggerated, but as I said, it's just damn hard! In fact, the only crayons that I have appropriate latency in this drawing were, black, gray, white, red, blue and yellow. Red, blue and yellow I used only for the mouth, so it is rather one of the more colorless pictures that I drew.

ah yeah it is indeed tricky to draw a dark colored wolf with a dark background too D: he just blends in with the rest. haha I think you made him threatening enough

Yes, you're right, I combine already brushes and pencils, particularly with the details of the eyes and the fur I just need pencils.
But the background and foundation of the figures are usually painted.^^
Make definitely continue with your way to comment!
