Description This will be so hard to write, have patience with me.

Hracia skrinka (Musical box) universe related illustration.

Doll traveled for a long time, met all of the demons, which possessed Mage. She met his mother, wife, unborn two children, his father and sister.

Each of them were a real challenge for her, became sort of personification or reflection of her own fear. Yet she faced them and was rewarded for it. Not only she grew psychically but got to see past of Mage.

As a child of human and magician, he was born as a powerful being, but yet not invincible. While he possessed magical power, it drew demons to it and his weak human side proved to be his fatal weakness.
He build a family and cared for it after his own father died (he lived for 500years tho).

When his wife Tercinta awaited their two children the demons appeared. Mage was away on a journey and Tercinta was in the middle of giving birth. The demons brought him the news - Tercinta will die. They proposed a bargain however - they will let Tercinta and her children live, but 3 of 5 demons will possess their souls.

Mage offered himself and the Five deadly flowers greedily agreed - his greatest sin was however, that he knew that when he let the demons soak in his soul, he will have to feed their hunger - eating hearts of children. The side-effects were equally cruel, it would prolong his life and he would never be able to meet his family.

Many years after, the connection was made - Doll was bought and about to be eaten in his house.

Rich with this knowledge Doll finally arrived to the End of all things - a place in mist, coated with spiderwebs and stardust swirling in the never-ending twilight.

There she had found him dwelling and waiting for her - with no demons and power left. Merely a shell, a memory of his physical form from past, cured from the beasts. He became again an old man, now plagued not only by the old sin, but from the guilt having helped to kill many children.

So she approached his bed, holding his hand and he is begging her to have mercy And because she loves so much, she will set him free and lay him to long sought for rest. For she knows, that given different time and circumstances, they would meet and be destined.

It was merely a dream, a wish - a journey of discoveries and hardships overcome. Where souls were freed and hearts lost.

And now her kiss will end everything.

***
Yes, I killed Mage. It was the only logical conclusion since the beginning, since he died once already. And Doll, well - she will have to go on a new journey. Because there always begins a new story, where the old one ends.

Waaah, I read it, the pictures, all of them! At first when it started to go so difficult and disturbing I was afraid it's one of those story that only lets oyou know how life sucks, sick things happen and there is no way out, it is what it is. I was relieved to find out how there was a conclusion and a message, she fought and got stronger, and the man found peace eventually.. It was sad still but epic, from these fragments one can already tell. Too bad you didn't have time to make it as a comic, your comics are always so great, but I'm glad you at least made it like a series of snippets and illustrations. thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for your attention! You meant the disturbing theme or it was difficult to understand? Well, suffering and bad is interesting to ponder about, but if there is no reason or conclusion its just plain despair and after a while I choose to walk away from it. Its probably a human nature to progress and seek out change.

I am so glad to hear this. I believed I am long behind my zenit and hanging up my manga skills. I stopped inking a long time ago due to health and found not enough mental strenght to work with my stories. Personal life screwed me over and I always worry too much about putting too much of it inside the story for the whole world to see.

Many thanks for your kind words!

I meant I almost dropped the story when it started to get so disturbing, I could understand it well. I was just unsure if it is just self-serving misery or if it leads somewhere. I see too many times people just do depressing stories without any consolence in the end. I tend to avoid those, I feel like they are draggig me down to the mud.
I'm glad you say that! Progress and change is good. But I've known too many people who gave up and gave in their dispair - end eventually ending their lives. Even in close family. So sadly it is not rue to all people.

I'm honestly sorry about your struggles! You are one of the people who I follow for the longest time. I understand how it's hard to put yourself into stories for the world to see. I get that with topics that are intimate or important to me. It can be quite hurtful when you get negative feedback or maybe even worse - no reaction at all. It's hard.
I would love to see more stories from you, your ideas are always interesting and it is exactle the personal theme that makes them unique in my eyes. The silly snail story, Halászlé too, it's just fun and original.

Oh man... How incredibly sad and moving! This made me go back and look at the whole story again, comic and all! I understand it more clearly now than I thought I did, and it was interesting rereading everything again. Still love these two soooooo much. And I'm glad that Mage is set free. I hope he can see his family again. And I feel like Doll can go on to do great things with her magic. : D

This is fantastic! I love how you gave the story a ending with such a powerful piece. I love that she can everything with her kiss, there is just something so beautiful about it. The piece itself has such a beautiful softness brought on by the use of the watercolor. I like the blending of the colors in the curtains and pillow, it really creates that dream like feel. There is such a sad feeling around Doll where Mage seems to almost have a expression of relief. This has been such an amazing set of pieces! with a great story! You are quite the story teller. I cannot wait to see what adventure Doll may go on next!

**sad sigh**

I'm sorryb to see this story end, but the beauty is that there are so many gaps now, you can go back and fill it all in.

loveLoveLOVE the Mage and Doll story. So wonderfully complex. Her confrontations with Mage's past to learn about him is a bit overworked, but if the actual challenges were unique, how wonderfully intricate it could be. I'm having workings in my head that Doll is a reincarnation of his wife and one of the children. (My brain seems to want to go into fiction writing mode again)

Thanks for sharing.

I love this series. ;o; You did an awesome job with all of them. I love Doll, she's so adorable. And in the end I like how you feel bad for Mage. Even though in the beginning he could be seen as the villain for how he treated Doll. So I really enjoy the twist in his character you've pulled here.

Aww that was sad, poor Doll, poor Mage, poor mage's wife and children.
And still it was a good ending if bittersweet.
Any chans you will paint any of Dolls future adventures?
I still admier you way with watercolores.
