this is beautiful.. i have always thought the word 'roh' in arabic does the concept so much more justice than the word 'soul'... how you have to breathe out to pronounce the last letter.. like the concept that our souls are God's breath in us...

i absolutely adore what you do.
i think the arabic language is the most visually beautiful.
seeing it like this just heightens that
the colours and shapes are extremly eye pleasing.
i especially like these because you are conveying important messages, and not just figures.
amazing artwork.

a little blury in full view, but its a beautiful peice. I need to get some of my caligraphy up (this reminds me lol). The transitions from gold tto blue are awsome as well as the texture on them... truely awsoeme

SalΓ‘m, my friend. I thoroughly enjoy and admire your calligraphy. I have seen some unbelievably beautiful works in Arabic and Farsi, and must say I am still impressed by yours, especially the variety of inks and colours. Also, the phrases and verses you choose are very special, and I think say a lot (of good things) about you, spiritually.
If you know anyone else who posts calligraphy, I'd love to know about them; or any sites at all, not just DA. One I know of and fawn over frequently is this site .
Anyway, it's nice to see this sort of flavour in the DDs. It's well deserved.

Somehow I can sense the meaning despite the fact I cannot read it. Beautiful.

That's incredible!!!!!! I haven't seen the rest of your gallery, but I'll bet it's amazing. How did you get the different colors in the large symbol? It looks like it's rusting, or maybe it's oxidizing like copper, how it turns from shiny to a green or blue. Gorgeous!!!

thanks!! on the different colours and how they are mixed- i just mixed them in a pot together with glue and the copper powder- but i am sure the london sun also played a part in the effect whilst drying (thank god it didn't rain!) and ofcourse the love i put into it cos it was something my heart really wanted to express somehow outside of myself an' in the real world.
