I try very hard to avoid doing fan-art, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit this was inspired by Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. (Which is an AWESOME game that nobody seems to have heard of. Best tactics game I know of and a great, truly non-linear story)It's based on my favorite class, the dragoon. If anyone recognizes it or even knows of the game I would be quite pleased

Ogre Battle!!! This is a truly beautiful piece here sir and I agree OB64 is definitely the best strategy game ever. I kind of like that no one knows about it because it's just a true diamond in the rough. The black knights, dragoons, lichs, paladins, seraphs and all of the special characters are awesome. I'm currently doing a special character only challenge where you play through the game only using the special joinable characters. Great art and God Bless.

That's... Hardcore... Considering that you need a lot of units to protect strongholds, and if they go fully chaotic or fully lawful, your chances of a good ending are SCREWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWED xD

This is how ogre battle looked in my head when I played it back in the day xD Awesome picture!
Also the reason that no one knows about this game is because there apparently weren't that many cartridges made in the first place. Luckily it's on wii virtual console now.
It's an amazing game though, my favorite part is the soundtrack.

i like the dragoon class. i havent got one on the 64 ogre battle, but i did get all 3 on march of the black queen and they were awesome. so i must say, nice work on this class

thats what i looked up, but on the snes one. you have strict conditions to get the 3 dragoons. after all they are the most powerful unit in the game

regarding your picture, is there any chance that you could publish, or if you already have one, a step by step guide of how to color like that? Or do you know any websites that contain such guides??

New Layer > Mode: Overlay - > and Fill with a sepia color. Simple as that. Use additional Overlay layers and a big soft round brush to enhance the colors and highlights.

My friend its got WAY more than just Dragoons. I have about 80 classes, a new race called the insectan's(which you can see in my gallery folder) And I've balanced out all of the classes, so they ALL get a fair chance of getting used. Of course everything is only on 100 pages of paper since I have no funding for a game

you light up inspiration light bulbs __< now I really want to make something medieval and warrior class related. The dragoon is in fact an interesting warrior class but according to some online sites, the original name was not ment to be related to dragons which kind of shocked me at first cause I played the game Legend of Dragoon( an awesome game as well

LMAO!! Yeah I always like the Cent design but they were indeed pretty useless... at least by the time you get them. And thanks, glad you like it. Honestly I'm just happy to see the game has other fans besides myself

Yeah, I'm one of the few fans (as far as I know) of a lot of things... basically the only things in ogre battle 64 I didn't get on my 3rd playthrough were the vampire and angel knight jobs (and all the bad characters, but that's because I got the good characters)
I hate it when a game is designed to have content you'd NEVER be able to utilize without being told about it... especially when that content is how you don't get the bad ending.

Oh, you mean the hidden Chaos Frame? I'm actually a little ashamed that I didn't figure that one out on my own. I kept wondering what the number on the towns were and didn't care about the difference between Capturing a town and Liberating it. Of course, I was around ten when I first played it and got the game completely by accident but I should have realized that they wouldn't put something in that had no bearing on the game. I was so sad that after hours and hours of play I got a Chaos Frame of 0 at the end. But, that disappointment made me replay it and have even more fun, so all's well.
