I wouldn't say Michael Palin is my God but Mahatma Gandhi certainly is!
I saw the film recently and he's such a dude!!

What anoys me though is that we have so many 5min silences to remember the holocaust victims and war verterans but not 1 min for Gandhi!!! That's probably becos he kicked the British's arses without a boot!!
