HA! Thanks, I'm a terrible speller.
I was very pro Raoul/Christine before I saw the musical, but I think that's mostly Gerard Butler's fault. He gave me the creeps to the extreme in the movie! But now, I can see both with her. Although, after seeing Love Never Dies (don't judge, I went to see how bad it could be, and it was. I pity the actor's though, they're all very talented, they're just stuck with a really awful plot and some okay music), I lean towards Erik.
Thank you!

Ya! Good for you! It's worth seeing from a critical sort of stand point, and yes, Ramin Karimloo has an AMAZING voice. I've sort of fallen in love with it.
Very true, on all three points. I do really like some of the music from LND, but there are some songs that literally hurt my ears, I mean, Heaven By The Sea (AHHH! ), other than the obvious (and I'm starting to think only) reason why ALW would write a sequel, why would he let songs like that pass into the final production?? I'm just dissapointed I suppose. I would not know about Phantom as well were it not for the '04 film, which I guess means we can thank them for it. But I'm still slightly unhappy with the casting, not to say that it didn't work, cause it did. But when I found out that both Gerard and Patick were in their 30's and Emmy was only 16! That added that extra little push of creep factor (which, looking back, I only applied to Gerard, oops...) that made me uncomfortable with the film.
Wow. I think I keep writing more and more, it's slightly embarrasing, but it's been a while since I've been able to talk to someone about Phantom and it's associated films and musicals. So thank you for this!

You're quite welcome.
Oh yes, I remember after the first time I watched the movie (with my grandmother in the room, might I add?) I watched the behind-the-scenes video and it was just casually thrown in, like "Gerry is 34, and Emmy was sixteen for her screen test..." and I was kind of like "That's cool," (didn't register that that was a little squicky...) and my grandmother was just like
Later I realised.
OMG 2004 MOVIE RAOUL. I hated that guy so much! I thought he was cute for about three minutes but then his fucking hair got so annoying!
Don't get me wrong, I think his voice is lovely, and without that wig he's a very cute-looking guy, but OHMYGODTHATFUCKINGHAIRWHATWERETHEYEVENTHINKING?!
Pardon my French.
I want to stab Heaven By The Sea in its metaphorical eyeball. I hate that song. But I do rather enjoy Till I Hear You Sing and Why Does She Love Me? and I think they're both great songs. Probably the best in the show.
Oh and I enjoy Devil Take The Hindmost. The tension between Raoul and Phantom (I cannot bring myself to call that guy Erik) is really obvious even in the soundtrack, I can't wait to see that part.
/rant.

HaHAHAHAHA!
Yeah... movie Raoul... he's a talented enough guy, but it was so stupid to put him in that girly wig. SO. STUPID.
French pardoned
I LOVE Till I Hear You Sing. I stole that song off the internet way back in like, July, it's hands down my favorite. I also really love Why Does She Love Me? as well, it took a day or two to warm up to it, but it's one of the few songs where Raoul get's to be somthing like who he was in the original. So that's good.
I really enjoy Devil Take The Hindmost, I thought that was a really well staged part of the show, you have that to look forward to. It was so wonderfully reminiscent of the final lair scene, and the animocity between the two of them is so evident. Love, love love.
I went through a phase of really loving Beneath A Moonless Sky for a while too, but when I went to see it on stage, Sierra and Ramin got a little too into it towards the end of the song ("again and then again") and it became a bit awkward for me.
I probably won't be able to talk again for a while, I'm going to see Harry Potter (finally, I feel like such a fool for not going yet) in IMAX (AKA my way of making it up to myself). But it was wonderful to meet you and talk Phantom with someone. This is why I love Deviant Art, meeting really cool people with similar intrests. Good times. Hope to talk to you again soon!

HARRY. POTTER.
Woah.
I cried, I have to say, Dobby's death made me cry. I don't remember crying while I read it, but that was a long time ago I spose.
AH! I can't believe you watch "PhantomReviewer"! He's awesome! It's because of him that I've seen so many versions of the story! I think he's hilarious, and dead on (for the most part).
Ya, Christine's kind of a flimsy character in LND. Sierra Boggess was great as her though! I loved her. Again, it's just the fact that the show can't hold it's own without this cast that makes it sad.

Dario Argento is a horrifyingly sick minded man.
Part 2 will mean the destruction of us all. It's the end of a generation. I do not envy the children after us that won't grow up knowing about Harry Potter. That's not a childhood I'd want.
It made me think of the first movie. The first was really cuuuuuuute and the acting was so awful... XD What did you think of it?

I'm determined to have my children be well versed in Harry Potter. Indeed. By force if necessary.
The first or the new one?? Oh well, I'll just talk about both!
I remember thinking, "why does the girl playing Hermione need to take such big breaths before each line!?" All my friends teased her about it. Poor dear, of course she's at the top of her game in the new one. Simply amazing. I admit I had a huge crush on Daniel in the first one, but I tried not to be part of he majority and said I thought Tom Felton was cuter, which he is a very handsome guy, but I've sucessfully gotten over both crushes now, and moved on to others. Oh hormones! I've always thought Rupert was awesome, even from the start, especially in Chamber of Secrets when his voice was all jumpy SO CUTE! Even in the new one, he's still a source of levity in a quickly darkening world, but he can be dramatic too (damn horcrux- that scene made me so sad ).
One of the biggest things I miss from the earlier films is Richard Harris (the orginal Dumbledore). I've owned a copy of the movie musical Camelot since I was a girl, and he's Arthur, so I've always known him, and loved him. When he died, I didn't know what to do, I couldn't think who they would find to take over for him. Michael Gambon was a good choice, and was kind enough to not try to immitate the original Dumbledore. But the transition was so abrupt that I was still unsettled. The rest of the teachers are gold, along with all the adult cast. Everyone has been amazingly spot on choices.
Oooo.... 'nother rant, sorry bout that!

I know! The injustice the Weasley family recieves is ungodly! They are all so great! I've always had trouble telling the twins apart, I know, "real original", but it's true. I let myself forget that one of them dies until the end of the movie, when Dobby died, then I thought, "Oh God, we're not even done yet !" I reluctantly listed all the dead (as of the end of the series) in my head and felt very depressed. But I reminded myself that Harry, Ron, and Hermione are at Bill and Fleur's now, and they'll be safe... until July. Good grief.
I'll be sad to see Michael Crawford go, but he and I have an interesting relationship. He originated the ALW Phantom, and he gets HUGE props for that, but his voice has always creeped me out. I did enjoy him in Hello Dolly! and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. But then comedy is his strong suit.

Oh yes, undoubtedly. I think he's a great Phantom and I think he's a versatile actor, but his comedy is just great. He has excellent timing and I loved him as Frank Spencer long before I ever knew of Phantom as anything more than a creepy guy in a mask going "DUUUUUUUHN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUNH!" I've always thought that he is simply adorable, he's undoubtedly my favourite guy ever.
He's my favourite rendition of Erik too.
(Holy crap. Rant.)
I love Bill. Like, seriously, he's awesome. And Molly and Arthur and Ron and... I don't actually like Ginny that much. She's my least favourite Weasley and I just... I can't enjoy her. She's just sort of there.
ZOMG. How funny was the bit where Ginny and Harry were kissing and then George was there! That was hilarious! I loved that part so much. XD
I want to see part 2 but at the same time, I don't want Harry Potter to be over. The thought is severely depressing.

That's true.
I laughed a lot. When I was reading the book during that part I was like "OMG GEROGEY YOU LOST AN EAR OMG OMG OMG!" but then in the movie I lol'd.
Oh, and the bit where Hermione puffs up Harry's face! I thought that was meant to be all scary and stuff, because it was a dramatic moment, but everyone was laughing.
Maybe I just don't understand.
Fleur is lovely, I'm just saying.

It's been a while, my friend! I was away on camp and I forgot to reply before I left.
Yes, I thought her accent was greatly muffled compared to the fourth movie, even. She sounded pretty British. It was adorable though, you're right.
The reason they did that, I guess as a media student, is people would be turned off if he was very deformed. Just like the 2004 Phantom movie I guess.

Oh yes, fan art can do that. D:
I was on a peer support camp. Next year, when I'm actually in year eleven, I'm going to be leading a group of year sevens (they're the youngest in Australian high schools, in case you didn't know) and helping them settle into school. It's basically counselling and such.
It was quite lovely though. I sang Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again in front of the whole camp, which was an exceedingly good experience. ^_^ How have you been, my dear?

It is! I'm looking forward to the artistic endeavours I am undertaking in the next couple of weeks. Fanfiction. XD And some original stuff. And music homework. I get homework on my holidays! D: Ridiculous.
But I have a performance tomorrow night, I'm pretty excited.
OhgodendoftermIalwaysdie! It's always so difficult and hard to know what to do and... I'm probably not helping even slightly. I'm sure you'll get it all done though. (:

Ah, procrastination, my old friend. We should catch up sometime... eh, I'll call him tomorrow or something.
It's not fair at all! But in VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education - basically, years eleven and twelve), we have to cover a total of 20 units. In year eleven we do 10 units and we have to do preparation for them. I dunno, it sucks is all.
I never do any work until the last minute. I understand what you mean about the stress helping, though. It tends to help me to a degree too. (:
