Oh hey it's that jedi I draw sometimes. She had a backstory once, but I forgot what it was. Undoubtedly it involved Dathomir because I love that planet and everyone from it XDPlease, PLEASE - do not take this and use it in a logo or anything (it happened last time). Logos a) should not be stolen and b) should be vector anyway.

Saehral, you do some amazing work. My partner (Elizabeth) will be soon playing a Jedi in a new Star Wars Role Playing Game, and I was hoping for her to be able to use this picture for her character (as clearly others have as well). Dathomir is by far one of the most exotic planets in Star Wars:EU. It's essentially a world of beauty and death. I say this because it's the home of the Rancor, Dathomir Witches(Variety of Clans such as the Singing Mountain Clan[Light] and Nightsisters[Dark]) It's the vortex of the SW:EU when it comes to major plots. It's a world not only with rainy multi-colored jungles but vast plains of purple and yellow. It has 4-5 major continents and a few major bodies of water. Well, one could say that. Han took Leia there during the Courtship of Princess Leia. Tenal Ka is from there who was also the mother of the only grandchild of Han and Leia(at the moment) Also the homeworld of the current Hapan Queen. Now, this is all from canon of course. Before the Empire, it was a remote world that only saw the Republic forces when the C'hunthor crashed(Massive Jedi Training Ship), then when the Empire was born it became an Imperial prison world, for many reasons obviously.
Now, the Witches of Dathomir were established in 600 BBY by a Jedi Knight known as Allya who had been exiled to the planet by the Jedi Council, from there she banded together the stragglers, prisoners and essentially(the books say this, I don't) the wayward men who were lost. From that point, she established the Book of Law, which is similar to the Jedi Code. Men are low on the totem pole(sucks for us) and women dominate the hierarchy of the Clans. Essentially, males are used for slave work/breeding. Sounds fun no?
*shrugs* I'm a walking knowledge book of this stuff, I write it every day. Fan-Fiction that is. So, that is what Dathomir is, it's culture and so forth.

Yep! :3 I loved Dathomir from The Courtship of Princess Leia (first SW book I ever read), and later Tenel Ka became one of my favorite characters ever...so...Dathomir is awesome
