Description Here is a pic of a bronze mask I made in a sculpture class. Sorry for the crummy pic that I took with my phone. The mask was in a art show and unfortunate over the summer it got lost somehow O,well, at least it was fun making it!

The pic's not that bad... I love the texture of it ecspecially the nose texture How in the world did you make it out of bronze!?

well, first I made a wax version of it first, made a sand mold of it and melted the wax out, then molten bronze was poured into the mold and came out with the final piece

It's a shame it got lost. It looks really nice. Could one use it like an actual mask?

fraid' not... it weighs over 10 pounds! but if it would made of a lighter material it could be worn on the face comfortably.

Well... If it was a piece from an ancient culture, i'm sure it would have been worn despite its weight. Appearance was sometimes more important than comfortability. I think some wore golden stuff.
