A Gaian friendlity of mine requested a picture of all her pets involved in some sort of scene.She suggested drawing a race between her two flying pets, and I thought that was a swell idear~ This is the result.
They're not really racing... I just wanted to draw everyone up in the air.. It's kind of my thang~ And bloons are cool.
Originally, I was gonna color the whole background blue, much like my Such Great Heights picture, but I got lazy and only colored a blue aura around each character. However, this made the pic look strange as a whole; every character looked like an individual unit rather than part of a whole scene.
In hopes of fixing that, I added blue tendrils and made the blue "auras" connect in some places. How's it looking now?
I didn't brighten this pic too much 'cause I wanted to keep that soft quality to the colors. Brightened version will be posted in scraps... Here's a link for the lazy people. -w- [link]

I used Prang and RoseArt color pencils to color them. ^^
Those're pretty much the only two brands I use.

Plus, since they're kind of low-grade color pencils, you can buy them pretty much everywhere for really cheap. ^^
