Description
Something else to do other than work. This time, Judy and Nick are investigating something at a seemingly normal disco party until suddenly, another victim has fallen prey to an attack!

Plus, all the more reason to dress Judy up in a different outfit. She's wearing a bunny costume this time.

Part 2 - Where is Your Uniform?

Late evening. An hour and a half ago. Nick & Judy stand across the street of the club and stare at the the gigantic neon sign above them depicting a cat chasing a mouse around a couch.

Judy: So the trail leads here...

Nick: The Katen-Mahws Disco Club, huh~

Judy: Alright, let's head in--

Nick extends an arm out in front of her chest to stop her and push her back.

Nick: Woah, woah, woah! You're not just gonna go in there dressed like--- that!?

Judy stands steadfast, fist resting on her badge.

Judy: I'm an officer of the law. We'll be fine.

Nick: Tsk, tsk, tsk, you innocent little ball of fur. They'll rip you a new one if you go bouncing in like that.

Judy: Oh ha-ha, a rabbit joke. Well, what do you suggest ol' disco-guru?

Nick: Hmmh, here, follow me.

Nick & Judy sneak around the back into the alley and find a backdoor. They enter.

Nick: Huh~ Unlocked... And empty. That's strange.

Judy: You sound like you've done this before.

Nick: We-e-ell, I may have done a couple of, uh, relocating of assets to various customers.

Judy: You dirty crook!

Nick: Hey that's not very nice~

Nick smiles, taking Judy's accusation as a compliment. As they sneak in deeper, muffled beats and disco music can be heard from the distance just beyond the door at the end of the hallway. They head into one of the doors stuck with a star on the front labeled "Camela the Cutie."

Judy: Uhh, Nick! I don't think we're supposed to be in here.

Nick: (sarcastically) Oh really?

The sarcasm oozes from Nick's reply and annoys Judy. They stumble upon a wardrobe and dressing screen. Nick shuffles through the different outfits.

Judy: Hey! You can't just go through a girl's wardrobe.

Nick ignores her.

Nick: Nope. Nuh-uh. Huh? Nah...

Judy: Hey!!!

Judy lunges and closes the drawer Nick was rummaging. Nick's a little irritated but looks over Judy's shoulder before she starts ranting. His eyes widen as he has spots something of interest. He dashes before Judy could even start; she already has a finger raised.

Nick: Perfect!

Nick turns around and holds it up against Judy to preview her wearing the outfit.

Judy: Really? A bunny outfit?

Nick: It'll look great on you!

Judy: Nick, I don't wear those kinds of-- get-ups. They're too... "wild."

Nick: Don't worry your wittle bunny head. Think of it as dressing up for Halloween for just today!

Judy: As a bunny?

Nick: As a bunny.

Judy: ...Fine!

Judy yanks the bunny outfit from Nick's paws and heads straight behind the dressing screen. It was dark so she turns on the light behind it. Her shadow props up against the screen. Nick sees it and unknowingly stares. Judy senses this revealing situation and attempts to cover herself.

Judy: Look away!

Nick: What?

Judy: Stop staring!

Nick: I'm not staring!

Judy: Yes, you are!

Nick: You're behind the screen!

Judy: With the lights on!

Nick: Then turn them off!

Judy: I can't see!

Nick: Then feel your way through it

Judy: Nick!

Nick: ...

Judy: C'mon!

Nick: Alright, fine! Geez.

Nick looks away to the wall. Moments later, Judy emerges with her new look.

Judy: How do I look?

Nick: Nice. You couldn't have worn that any better. And oh, one last thing.

Nick places a headband with a pair of bunny ears on Judy's head.

Judy: Wha-? But I already have those. And y'know, they're kinda real~

Nick: It's part of the whole thing! You can't NOT wear it.

Judy purses her lips together. They both head out into the disco area. The music is loud and almost deafening. It's crowded and there are different types of "shady" mammals showing off their best grooves. Nick & Judy walk around a bit but soon realize that they need to split up to cover more ground. Following Judy, she struggles to maneuver through the animals. A couple of them greet her with flirtatious whistles. Judy retorts with gestures of disgust.

Then, a scream cuts the air, quickly silencing the background music. Judy leaps to the direction of the sound, pushing and jumping over whoever was in the way. When she finally reaches the scene, she sees Nick's back. He's already standing over the victim. He turns his head slightly to Judy.

Nick: A little too late here, flatfoot

Judy: Rotten carrot sticks...

Judy kneels down to get a closer inspection. She stands back up and calls for backup on her radio.

Judy: Alright everybody, stand back! This is a crime scene!

Judy goes around and sets up a makeshift police line around the scene and takes out her notepad and carrot pen to jot down notes while Nick watches on.

TL;DR Judy can't go in dressed as a cop so Nick finds her a more suitable outfit but when they start to investigate, they were to late and another victim falls to mysterious foul play.

That was kinda fun. I don't usually do these story things but it's nice to do something different every now and then. Sorry for the long description

*Update* I've changed the original image to this new one that I've retouched and tweaked a little bit. It's a lot darker now and the BG isn't as distracting as the former, which I think didn't capture the dance club vibe appropriately enough.
