Description
Continuation of the thumbnail pages for the alternate history storyline.We finally turn our attention on Aang, Katara and Sokka, as they learn about the prisoners of the previous page. Aha! They are getting closer and closer to Zuko.
Apologies for the chicken scratches- these are just a very good exercise in setting down ideas on paper. The faster the better (even if crooked)
All characters belong to Mike, Bryan, Nickelodeon and Viacom.

Actually, Aang barely knows Sokka since a few months-weeks. Aang just got found in the iceberg, while the whole world grew older around him. He escaped 20 years of Sokka bickering, whining, making stupid jokes.
Nope, Sokka hasn't changed much- he's got more experience though

This page got faved as soon as I saw it - it just has everything. Good interaction and great drawings. Although older, Sokka and Katara are essentially still the same. I love their bickering and Sokka improvising should be fun - dangerous, but fun.
Katara's profile in the second panel is gorgeous, Sokka's faces are priceless and Aangs sigh-face is sooo adorable. But the poor kid has a lot to shoulder - realizing that he already is too late must be hard.
By the way, did he ever go back to the Southern Air Temple in this time-line? I have seen no hint of Momo until now - so he also never found monk Gyatso and entered the Avatar-state or was he already forewarned by the state of the world when he woke up? *ties brain in knots*

They haven't had the time to go to the temple yet. So no Momo (assuming flying lemurs live very long too)
And as far as I know, Aang has not had an Avatar State attack...yet.

Aang is still a kid, because he's just recently been foiund in the iceberg. He stayed young, while the world grew older and darker around him. He's got much to learn, and I'm not talking about learning the 4 elements.

Yes, I imagine that being the Avatar at such a young age would be even harder in that time period. He's really got his work cut out for him.

I was just thinking... since the moon was killed in this Alternate line, the waterbenders probably canΒ΄t bend anymore. And even if they can, probably Katara never could exercise much her skills. Poor girl!

Sokka's older, but he still has that dangerously charming "let's sneak in and wreak havoc" smile that we all have learned to love.
I like the way that you've kept the essence of the Water Sibs while still ageing them believeably. Roughs or not, I'm enjoying your plotting immensely.

This isn't criticism, just on observation: Everyone looks really grown up except Aang! He just looks, at the oldest, like a teenager. But if it's 20 years in the future, then they're all above the ages of 30! I want Aangy to stay little! *hugs him*

Aha- here is what happened: Aang just got found in the iceberg; it's as if he spent 120 year, not 100 trapped in there. The whole world got older, but not him. The comet came to pass- the fire nation has taken over the world. Zhao conquered the North Pole and destroyed the moon spirit. The water benders are pretty much powerless.
So your wish is granted: Aang stayed young, and the world he got to save got a whole lot rougher.

This is turning out to be an awesome comic so far. Lots of detail for a small amount of space.

Ah, that's because Aang just got found in the iceberg- he stayed young, while the world around him grew older. Now that he's out, he'll start aging again (but will never catch up to that big age gap)

But now that she's taking care of Aang, all thoughts of trying to settle down have been banished from her mind. Stays in the subconscious though.
