Description Here's a pair of images of my newest bracers: the Dragonhide Bracers! I'm very happy with how these turned out! I think the natural finished, oiled leather accents really made the piece stand out.

These bracers won me 6th place in the Deviant Marketplace contest!

They are for sale at [link] . The cost is $45 plus shipping.

EDIT: SOLD!!!

What kinds of leather did you use for the "dragonhide"? It looks reptilian in any case.
They look good, but mayhap with a rougher type of leather, like alligator (big rough scales) it would have realle screamed dragonhide.

I like them in any case.

The 'dragon hide' is goathide (I believe) embossed with an alligator print pattern. Real alligator hide costs too much!

serious? With the current alligator plague in Florida going on?

I don't think it's so much the ease of getting 'gators, but the length of time it takes to skin and tan the hides. They ARE a little on the tough side, you know!

But it is worth it, just like sharkskin it is a very durable hide. It is a shame the resource gets wasted since they cull so many of them.

Oh, trust me, I know that the hide is worth the cost, but the cost is significantly more than my income at this point.

good gods these are simply amazing.
though I'm not a fan of dragonhide, the simple but effecting design is great.
