Weekly bird speedpainting

Inspired by the lapwings I see almost every day when I am cycling to work . They are so beautiful, in flight as well as their colorful sheen.
The painting depicts a female, as is visible from the black and white pattern on the throat. Males have a more distinct black and white pattern, whereas females have more 'spotted' or blurry edges of the black and white (and to me it seems that males often have more black).
