"Look upon me, Equestria, for I... am... Rarity!"The glamor! The sophistication! For a lark, try watching how many times in each episode Rarities hair line shifts from side to side of her horn. Pretty much every time she turns her head her hair shifts to be depicted behind her horn. Oh well, did the best I could.

I must ask, what kind of texture shading are you using? They really match the show closely, combined with your fantastic models It's actually quite easy to forget that these are 3d and not vectors.

I was looking for some models like this to rig/animate for a game project I've been wanting to create, it's a shame the artist is dead, or something.

Well, now we know why Hasbro didn't release a Rarity with sculpted hair with the Gift Set.

Hi there - it'd be nice if you checked the dates these were posted before accusing me of stealing.
My Rarity model was completed June 8th, 2011, The Gmod Rarity model wasn't even posted to Deviantart until
June 29th. My first completed pony model render was uploaded to DeviantArt on March 24th, 2011, while KP-ShadowSquirrel's first pony model didn't show up until June 7th, 2011. KP-ShadowSquirrel doees great work, but please don't accuse me of stealing when you're just plain wrong.

I wish that these were the Gmod pony models. That would be epic.
On a side note, Fluttershy's hair does the same thing as Rarity's, as well as the highlights in Twilight Sparkle's hair if you look closely enough.

Not too hard, I modeled it first as an extruded one sided plane, unwrapped, and then used the shell modifier to create the depth, and then tweaked for correct volumes.
