Yep!! I still haven't beat the first mother game... Mother 3 is my favorite. I was playing through 2, but lost my steam... whoops.

heh, I beat one after another
Mother (1) is old but has fairly good gameplay (except too big map, you can really get lost because of this), I enjoyed it quite a lot
Mother 2/Earthbound is my fav game of the series - nice graphics, cool story, awesome gameplay... it has pretty much everything a fan of jrpg games is looking for
and Mother 3 is quite linear so makes a huge difference compared to first two parts but is very good story wise and gameplay is just as colourful and enjoyable as in case of Earthbound
