This, I'm proud and pleased to say, is the drawing that I've spent the most time on in a very long time. Done with two ballpoint pens and a sharpie on a sheet out of Tony's notebook at his grandma and uncle's thanksgiving party. Thanks! heheh.I really like looking at this and thinking of how the manga itself could look, when I have the time I want to be able to pour into it. I'd like to experiment w/adding 'tone' and the like to this image and seeing where it takes it...

They are indeed my characters, Rose, Yuuri, Tuesday Cat and this fire fox fellow. Whose name is, as of yet, Fire Fox, but... sorta hard to use, considering the browser of the same name.

Btw, in Hunter x Hunter, some chapters are fully drawn like sketches that look less worked on than this.
Crosshatching is a nice choice, being a "handmade screentone" itself.

hahaha, I've been thinking about this comment of yours a lot, Road. XD Made me smile, and gives me more hope for making my own manga! I like HxH a lot myself, and think the art is pretty sweet too, but I have heard a lot of people--non-artists included--complain about the 'quality' of his art in recent volumes.
I really admire those artists with a solid grasp of crosshatching! Works drawn entirely by hand are so cool!

Huh. So, I've produced another Comment Which Makes People Think, an ultimate piece of commenting art, now I know I didn't waste my life for nothing!Β Β
I've had to put HxH on a hold-on status somewhere at the ants ark and then couldn't remember where I've stoppedΒ Β that ark has had a droprown in "neatness" already though it then started to get better. Not like I care, because the hand of the professtional is seen either way and chapters are still amusing.

I actually realized after posting this that I used a sharpie too. XD I'll add that info!
But thank you! I'm exceedingly fond of this too. It was lovely to cut back and just be able to doodle away for a good amount of time, rather than having to stuff drawings in between classes, between notes, between lives, whatever. Art is important!!!
