Very nice super shallow DOF!
Beautiful lighting, great focusing, nice angle and wonderful color.
I like the dark background. It makes the flower look more stand out!
One more thing, the framing is very pretty and creative.

For the lighting there is no secret : it's simply the light that comes through a window. OK the window is made of a frosted glass so the light looks softer.
Maybe the most important thing is that I didn't use the flash. Indeed I've noticed that it often 'burns' the shapes. So I used my tripod to have the appropriate exposition (1/8 second).
The next thing is the RAW format which allows to adjust the image very finely without losing the quality. Unfortunately I doubt that you have this option on your camera.

Thanks for sharing man. Yeah, using flash (especially the onboard flash without any diffuser) certainly would ruin this shot.
I read many positive words about RAW format, I should use it when I have a chance in the future.

Its a sony - DSC-R1
Its a fix lens camera with near size APS-C sensor.

I believe so. I had an old tripod, but its not that sturdy for this cam. Its very heavy.
