positiv approach : he goes into battle (and other occasions) with an "We will make this" attitude rather than staying behind in caution

▌PERSONALITY

[TRAITS]

Despite his indifferent look and monotone speaking pattern he is a rather positive person and just wants to make the most of what he has left of live.
But frankly speaking Rydon isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. His reaction time would be considered quite slow and he has problems understanding higher advanced vocabulary.
Additionally his bad memory makes it necessary to tell him important things more than once.
Aside from power and strength there are only a few things he really values and is able to comprehend.
He has difficulties understanding human behavior as his own emotions aren't as strong as normal and fury is the only thing he seems to experience the usual way.
Rydon could be called a "dulled down" version of normality.
In the end the only way he was able to convey his feelings and obtain what he wants was by brute force and he started to see it as a logical option in every situation.
But as long as someone treats him right he remains very calm and acts loyal towards those he sees as good people.
His definitions of love, respect and good are very twisted though while he tries his best to understand people by surveiling their every movement and imitating their behavior.

▌BACKGROUND
[BEFORE THE INFECTION]

From the very beginning Rydon was never really alone. Living in a big house with multiple siblings (most were foster-children)
he was used to constant voices around him blabbering about their everyday life. It always made himself feel safe.
But ultimately he also noticed that he was indeed quite odd. Failing at basic human interactions. Not experiencing the world the way others do.
He wasn't as happy as them. He wasn't as sad as them. He couldn't understand them.
Rydon felt like he was even grayer than the others, fading away the moment they stop looking at him.

After the disease struck, he was even less the same. But this time they knew he was there. Even when they averted their eyes.

[AFTER THE INFECTION]

He got infected at a very young age.(15)
Was that the reason he didn't care when the strange young couple came to pick him up?
Was that why he wasn't sad when his parents gave him away with pleasure?
Why didn't he bat an eye as the pair introduced him to other infected kids?

"Because I'm abnormal" That was the conclusion he made.

The pair didn't treat him or the other kids badly. They simply lived there with them.
But the "love" they said to feel for the children felt different from his first parents.

They were abnormal too it seems.

Rydon really didn't get what was going on. But his parents told him to take what lives gives you and to make the most out of it. And he did.
It was always easy to hold down his siblings when they were running around too much. And it was surprisingly easy to hit those that bullied him.
Just as unexpected was the pleasure of them doing what he wanted afterwards.
Rydon saw that as proof, that it is normal to succumb to someone stronger than you. It is normal to use brute force to fulfill your wishes.

Even though he thought he found a solution to his problem. He also knew that understanding people would give him an advantage.
But as much as he tried it just didn't work out. Surveiling others he adapted their behaviour under certain situations.
He started screaming and cursing when he was attacked.
He started crying if they watched a movie that was listed as "drama".
And still he couldn't grasp the concept of these intense emotions.

One day his second parents caught the colour syndrome as well. They didn't seem to like colour anymore.
One day another group of people came to take all of them away. They had a different vibe to them than his parents.

Rydon really disliked the eyes of these people and he also disliked leaving that interesting couple.
But even though they've always been nice to him they now had a look on their faces the others called "defeat and despair".
He had already learned that people won't go anywhere after they got that face. The oldest kid looked like that on his 25th birthday and never returned.
So he left them behind and ran away.
Because he could still walk. And he was stronger than them. He would finally obtain his freedom.

He thought. He usually doesn't think too much about his actions. This time he did. This time maybe he shouldn't have.

Getting shot isn't nice. A new thing he learned that day.
His guardian angel must have had a good day back then or he wouldn't be able to escape like that.
He was certain that was the case since having Luck wasn't really a thing he was used to.
That day all his Luck for his next years was used to get him through all that it seems.
Once he ran around the corner, heavy breathing, he came to stand face to face to an other coloured individual.
And for some reasons Rydon wouldn't understand even if he knew them that person did not only help him to get away but also introduced him to a group called "Ever Blues".

[EVER BLUES]

He actually liked that place. It was simple, it was loud, it was a place of power. He understood the people here better.
As the determined figure of the leader stood in front of him he waited for her to say something.
Her words spoke of accaptance and strength, misfits raising their heads and joining her in battle.
Rydon has always been the impulsive type if it comes to decisions.

But up to this day he never thought about his decision to join the battle as wrong.

he calls the colour stains on his body "the reapers signs" and jokes about them showing the way he will die (getting strangled)

he tried to learn spanish once "in honor of his colour" but failed miserably

this would certainly be his theme song
