▌PERSONALITY
[ TRAITS ]
Espen is a mischievous person that finds great joy in lying and deceiving people. He would use any occasion to play pranks on other and tell them lies about how unknown powers try to use genetically modified pickles to take over world domination and other stupied lies no one would ever believe. Preferring closed spaces he likes to sit in his room surrounded by computer screens and trolling people on the net.
Espen mostly stays quiet and doesn't talk to much if not addressed, especially while working. During that time he focuses entirely on that matter and gets stressed out and grumpy if interrupted. Although ,him being a rather cunning individual
, his caution can reach peeks definitely above sanity. He tends to overthink most of the things he does and ends up shaking in fear over a fly in his room.
Due to his extreme fear of bacteria and filth he values cleanliness above everything and can act like an hypochondriac regarding little sneezes. He spends most of his time on cleaning. Being a perfectionist and highly sensitive regarding that matter he is on the verge to being labeled as OCD and can only calm down after he finished all his chores and is 100% sure there is nothing to worry about anymore.
Thanks to that the safest time to talk to him without being insulted is right after his shift when he's in his room calming down with his beloved tea and very open for most people as long as they refrain from making a mess again. Espen might be difficult to cope with at first but as soon as he knows someone better and they learn how to handle him his attitude towards them changes as well.

▌BACKGROUND
[ PAST ]
Compared to the usual hardship rabbits have to cope with Espen had a rather easy childhood.
Espen was not just an only child but his mother being a chemist and his father a doctor they always had enough of everything and lived a normal life in a nice and clean house. Maybe a little too clean.Since his parents had to be very cautious in their jobs they acted the same way at home, keeping it very neat and sterile while getting Espen used to these kind of environments and looking out for his safety.
When Espen was 12 years old an accident he caused at his mother's workplace made him almost loose the eyesight of his left eye. After that incident he wasn't allowed at his mother's laboratory anymore an went to the clinic his father worked at instead. To not only prevent further accidents but also to teach Espen about the dangers in everyday life his father proceeded to describe him infection illnesses and showed the little boy horribly detailed pictures everyday to always prepare him for the worst. It was no real surprise that Espens rational respect of germs soon changed into a full-fledged fear. From that point on he stayed inside the house as long as possible an just rarely touched anything he didn't need to while cleaning his entire room over and over again.
But even though his parents noticed their kid's behavior they had way bigger problems to cope with.
One night Espen, woken up from horrible dust-nightmares , overheard a conversation between the two of them. It was more of a quarrel than a real conversation though. That day Espen learned about the coworkers making his father's life difficult by doing everything to keep him from further advancing in his job. He learned about the fury his mother felt about him not standing up against them and how they still couldn't do a thing since rabbit scientists didn't have many sympathizers. At the end his mother was crying angry tears and his father was grumpily replying to her they should just get divorced after all. Upon hearing that the young boy ran back to his room, unknowing if his parents noticed.
The next morning Espen already prepared himself for an 'important talk' with his parents but that didn't happen. Acting the same way as usually they simply proceeded their lives as if they would still live a happy marriage. But the boy could still hear them fighting nearly every night from there on. Espen understood why they kept up that facade of a happy family and he also understood that lying could be a way to make your life easier. "No one really wants to face the truth after all" he said to himself. And maybe he was right. But despite that the rabbit also learned how ruthless humans acted towards the likes of them. A fact often proven again during his entire school and adult live. His father never was promoted and despite Espen long leaving his parent's house they still stayed together. Maybe they just grew accustomed to that lie. And so did Espen.
[ PRESENT ]
His developing mistrust against humans also stopped him from graduating later. "Because he couldn't stand to be around them for too long" as he stated whenever asked. Using his unfinished computer science education he worked as a free-lancer living by his wit. Roaming the streets of Pearson one day his attention was drawn to one of the digitals screens instaleld everywhere. POSRA seemed to make announcements and even if Espen normally didn't care for them he couldn't avert his eyes from this particular one. The declaration of openly executing the criminals of BJBB.
After the announcement Espen stood still. Staring up to the screens showing nothing but advertisements again. He had heard rumors about BJBB but officially hearing them being called "a constant threat " reassured his interest in them. That group might be something worth looking into. That group could maybe even help him leave his boring live behind. Maybe he could even help others with it. From there on he used all of his free time and abilities to search for the tiniest hints of them.
[ BJBB ]
It was a normal, and very boring, day when Espen walked through the Alleys of Pearson once more constantly swearing at everything around him. He was annoyed. Never did he search for something this long in a row and never did he neglect his life so much for a cause but nothing was given back to him. Countless hours of searching but still not a single clue about BJBB's whereabouts. They knew what they did apparently.
Never would Espen have dreamed he would get his chance of finding them through something as mundane as coincidence.
That fateful day, without him noticing, his steps lead him into the even duller parts of Pearson. And there he spotted the suspect. Standing in one of the several back streets of the area and presumingly using a communication device while leaning against a wall and constantly checking his surroundings. Seeing his chance Espen tried to carefully draw himself closer to the rabbit without him noticing his approach. An attempt that was bound to fail. And it did.
The other noticed him, concealing his device right away which only made Espen even more curious. He was about to bluntly ask the guy what he was using and stepped a bit closer. But the sarcastic and clever comment he was about to make changed into a high pitched scream as heaven itself literally buried him in waste.
Espen did not believe in a god but a load of trash suddenly burying him from above seemed like a punishment even to him. He continued to scream even once his head made the connection that someone must have thrown the trash out of their window. That he could now estimate the composition of the dirt that hit him didn't help though. And the stranger really didn't like him screaming his lungs out as well.
With a loudly exclaimed "JESUS CHRIST" the man forcefully dragged Espen away (only to make him scream even louder upon touching him) and throwed him inside a place he never has been to before. Espen stopped screaming right away. Now changing into a state of shock instead and just staring around, shaking he tried to speak. The stranger watched his vain attempts and stepped closer to him, this time careful not to touch him. "Okay, calm down it's fine!!" he snarled.
Espen just stared back at him with fierce eyes, blaming no one but the stranger for the horrors he just had to live through. " Maybe you deserve it for kidnapping me you prick " He threw right back at him.
The stranger gave him an irritated glance. " Look. If you don't want to be involved. LEAVE. But don't tell anybody about this place."
Even if he wanted nothing else just a mere second ago, that man nearly ordering him to leave made Espen stay regardless. Additionally the place he was just dumped in was of unknown origin and presumably not legal nor was it open for public. That and it being used by Rabbits made him smile. Maybe. Just maybe he found the biggest clue he ever had.
"I'll stay." He exclaimed loudly and with confidence in his voice that did not match the situation at all.
The other glared at him again. Maybe checking if he really meant what he said. "OK but.... Can you take a bath first? And then we can talk". Espen shivered and nearly teared up upon him realizing his state of cleanliness didn't change yet but he tried to keep his cool regardless. "Well I don't know where it is. Duh."
After a long needed bath and two panic attacks from Espen along the way the stranger introduced himself as Mathiu Everett who indeed was a part of BJBB and, thanks the Spaghetti Monster, even inherited a higher position in direct accessibility of cleaning products. While Espen completely covered himself in sanitizer they discussed the situation and Mathiu finally enrolled him as a part of the organization. Explaining the specifics he made his mind up and sorted the now very intense smelling other into the cleaner division. A job Espen could not be happier about.
While Espen himself was sure to have been chosen because of great talent and simple awesomeness others state Mathiu mainly wanted to keep an eye on this very difficult individual.
This event became a comic ! yaaay !
▌OTHER
[ TRIVIA ]
- Espen is nearly completly blind in his left eye but refuses to get surgery that might help him
- the goggles he wears are nothing but a protection and don't help his eyesight at all
- he can be titeld as inshut since he refrains from leaving his room as much as possible
- from his point of view his behaviour is completly logical
- Espen sometimes faints for some seconds if confronted with too big of a mess
- he takes his job very seriously and might complain a lot while doing so but will never abandon his duties
- singing is his passion but he will never tell anyone about it
- his cover songs are rather popular on the net and he is quite proud of that achievement

- he has serious stagefright and prefers to be the man in the shadows
- whenever someon tries to touch him without his consent he will spray sanitizer in there eyes
- appearance is very important to him and his nearly untamable hair upsets him every day anew
- despite liking his parents job he swore to never do the same work as them ( because of the health threats )

After an eventfull mealtime, that ended with Espen having a panick attack and endlessly cursing at the other bunny, the two of them decided to never meet again. If they would ever have to attend a mission together they would propably leave each other to die without hesitation.
- Cade - uncertain in so many ways
Cade being not only a cleaner but also a medic automatically gained pluspoints through that. And even if his first outside mission, which she was his supervisor in, went into a horrible direction and he's not completly sure about Cades gender, Espen mostly associates good things with her. Also she perfectly responded to his stupid lies and unfunny jokes. Thats always good. - Mathiu Everett - respect slowly growing ( paps )
"god you're not my dad" is propably the most teeny and most fitting thing for Espen to say about this relationship. He might not think to high of the man he mostly sees as unnecessarily cruel but does respect him in a way as his boss. Also Mathiu sometimes bakes cookies or brings them cake after training so he's kinda cool. Though it makes Espen furious to be treatend as a child so often. - Bluebell Eos - smol nemesis
Bell and Espen certainly don't hate each other but they do fight on a regular basis. Though it usually just ends in little quarrells and not full fledged murder as they have a certain set of similarities. Espen is very happy of their mutual hate of being touched. It makes everything easier. psst he actually likes and cares for her but thats a secret she shall never know
