I was up there this last weekend to grab a permit and this snow storm was flirting with the rim of the canyon. This was just a random stop on my way to the Backcountry Office.Technical Details:

If you were in the very bottom of the canyon, it is unusual to have snow survive that far down, but the north rim is over 8,000ft elevation in places. They get lots of snow during the winter.
