Very nice! The absolute blackness of the blackbird's feathers is striking in its intensity. Blackbirds always make me think of the Wallace Stevens poem...

V.
I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.

- Wallace Stevens, from "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird"

Thanks! And thanks for shearing, I have been planning to make a series of bird paintings and to post them together with poems about the same species. This one is great too.
