This is gorgeous! I am glad that you ensured that the photo was untouched when you scanned it too, it makes it that much more remarkable. This captures Reese really, really well, and the whole piece is very smooth. She is definitely one of my favorite actresses, too!

Soooooooooo gorgeous!!

and I like that you left her plain as a sketch w/o editing it... she looks like she's glowing... so soft, like an angel ^_^

Amazing! I love how it looks. I've only seen the thumbnail of the other version so far, but I think I'll like this one better. You captured her so perfectly! Wonderful piece!!

I wouldn't take offense. To me, it's a compliment. It looks so realistic people think it's a photo. But I can understand why it would be annoying too.

This should actually be taken as a very high compliment to your work and If I were you, I would not change a thing in your drawings as far as adding cross hatching and so on. Realism is extremely hard to acheive as I'm sure you know in any medium. I gave up drawing a long time ago in favor of digital art, but I am about to take it up again and shelve the digital stuff for awhile. What you have created here takes a tremendous amount of hard work. I really hope I get this good someday. Some of my digital pieces get the same comment from people, but since it's realism that I shoot for, I take it as very high praise.

ah i can tell it looks drawn. personally, i love that smooth style of shading.
but if you want some critique, my professor advises not perfecting in that direction, because then it ends up as you're complaining about and looks like a photo. people will pass over it or wont look as long because they think its just a black and white piece. maybe think about maybe leaving some of your original sketch lines in there. or some crosshatching. something that gives it some texture and makes the viewer circle back to go "hm..."

whatever direction you head with your future art, i can say you are already a very nicely accomplished artist. good luck on forcoming pieces~

Amazing!
I could see how this is drawn, but still for it to have the overall look of a photo to me is a great compliment.

Just wondering, what do you use to get the shading so smooth to look as though it is a photo and not a drawing?
