I read on the close-up you asked if it was too light, it's perfect, it balances the rather dark background.

One thing though, depending on what monitor settings and monitor type the way the contrast looks will differ.

Sure, but the range will mostly always be mapped the same way since the image always uses the full spectrum from pure black to pure white, except maybe if there is some kind of gamma correction.

True true, but on monitors now a days depending on the angle at which you view something, you will either see the darkest parts as pure black or dark gray, and light grays may disappear at certain angles.
Also, on the old "fat-screens" things always look darker for some reason.
