woohoo!!!! end of chapter one!!!!

I will probably be taking a brief break (excluding the upcoming interlude) to finalize chapter 2's script, but I might not (im super excited for ch2,,)

notes:

- soup is no longer part of the team here. however, she is Not just a one-off character. in-game, she didn't die here -- I merely boxed her. all ill say is that we will be seeing more of her.

- if one member of a team (but not others) have a certain badge, that member's badge can allow the team to *challenge* gyms that typically require it.

however, the rest of the team cannot reap the rest of the badge's benefits (discounts, rooming, etc) until they defeat a gym with that member. then they all have their own, personal badges registered.

this is to keep the challenge balanced and prevent amateurs from coasting along with skilled battlers.

- danni and trent arrived later than jules and co. because there were less of them and they were less skilled battlers. they had more trouble and took more breaks.

annnddd to round it up, remember last page when I said I probably forgot a note? well here it is:

- There are only a few species that are naturally capable of hypnotism beyond the move hypnosis. they include malamar, hypno, beheeyem, grumpig, etc. and are generally stereotyped as untrustworthy and conniving.

however, they all have different kinds of hypnotism (ex: beheeyem can only tamper with memories), and hypnosis is a difficult skill that must be honed, so its not typically employed.

hypnosis is generally short-lived, typically lasting less than an hour at absolute most. because it requires eye contact, in olden times these species were often forcibly blinded.
