Wow now I can draw face proportions. i've been using the egg shape, halfway is the eye, cut it in half again is the nose and again is the mouth. And although that may work it would always come out odd when I did it and sometimes Okay. This is like

Oh... my... crackers! Finally someone telling me HOW MUCH SPACE between the chin and the circle! >< FINALLY!! I think I may start a cult in your honor. :'3~ (Well, not really, but it's possible! )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ReiRobin In reply to Zagiri [2012-10-11 03:26:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!
I used to follow the normal t-formula for the faces on my comic, and the characters ended up having height of chin/jawline/... in every single panel.
So I'm really delighted this has helped you in any form, that's enough to make me feel satisfied for sharing this tutorial.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Zagiri In reply to ReiRobin [2012-10-11 03:30:32 +0000 UTC]

Yes! My faces were always heavy in the jaw department. Now if I can just figure out how to space the eyes and position the nose bridge, I'd be good to go. Drawing anatomy happens to be my biggest challenge, so anytime I find something new to help I immediately jump on it, particularly if it has new advice. This new advice happened to be epic. :'3~

That's so good to hear!
Tell me what kind of tutorial you would like to see, I'll see what I can help in that area.

Zagiri In reply to ReiRobin [2012-10-11 04:13:11 +0000 UTC]

Well, one of the problems I have is keeping them both the same size (I mean, seriously. Recently I had one go O and the other go * and didn't notice it. x.x. Is there a way to grid that properly? D: And another thing is distance. Even when practicing a bit ago, I found one eye would be an inch from the nose, another two inches or more (I draw huge). x.x; So it ended up looking like O ||O which was very... odd... o.o Especially since it was a portrait facing strait at the viewer... x.x; Then there's eye angle. Sometimes when the character is turned at an angle, my eyes still try to face forward. >.>;;

...I just tore my drawn eyes apart. XD Ah, self critique. Any advice would be helpful.

Oh goodness that would be awesome! :'3~ But, I'm about to spend the night at a friend's place, so I might have to schedule for tomorrow evening? D: I'm in EST time. >.> It's almost 5 now, so maybe I can contact you? D:
