This is a photo a friend of mine took from an old inkeeper. When I saw this reference I needed to give it a try. What stories these lines could tell.

From a technical point of view. Drawing size is roughly 16x12" (30x40cm) on the reverse of a matboard. Slightly off white. mechanical pencil .5mm; 2H - 2B. I find the drawing surface rahter hard and unwilling to accept graphite. It took me a while to be able to work with it. Sorry for the poor photo. As I go along i hope to be able to take a better shot outside.
