A commission of Gimli and Legolas I did for the lovely Sarah Warren, ie Qualli. A fellow tattoo enthusiast, I traded the drawing for a wonderful hat she knitted me ^_^.I always want to make sure that my Elves and Dwarves don't look human. Their "humanoid", but their both a different species.

This is based on the books, and after all the the ring is destroyed. I always loved how great the love bettween Legolas and Gims is portrayed in the books and wanted to show it. People of course can take it either as best friends or more ~_^

I see this as a tender and comforting moment between two friends. I always liked the friendship between those two. Two enemies, who hated each other at first, became friends. Who would have thought?

My friends and I were having a debate about whose braid it was that's twirling out by Gimli's shoulder. It was fun and interesting. I love your depiction of Gimli, it's much more heartfelt and true than what Peter Jackson did in the movies.

Thats Gimli's braid as well. *laughs* I like my Dwaves with looooooong thick hair ~_^. Leg's hair is shorter and mostly lose, with the exception of some thin braids. One of Leg's thin little braids can be seen on his own arm while resting above on Gim's shoulder.
