Just an old pic I did of my own interpretation of (book) Gimli, from LOTR. I was experimenting a bit with his body structure as well as ears, (do Dwarves have round or pointed ears?) No fat old Dwarf here!The lovely Miss ~insert-pseudonym has honored me and colored this and several other of my b/w pics. Please do go to her gallery and check them out! This was a commission I did a few years back for RPG series that WoW where beta testing. They would get mad.

I always pictured dwarves as having pointed ears, as a way of making them more different from humans. Though I imagine their ears are shorter than the ears of elves.

I to really like to make my Dwarves and Elves very different from humans. Most of the time I draw Dwarves with rounded ears, I was experimenting a bit with this one.

You should take a look at the ears I drew for my various races in my gallery. Maybe they can give you some inspiration on how to draw more distinguished dwarf ears. (I don't mind if you use the dwarf ear, just as long as you don't say it was all your idea.)

the shading is insanely good, and i really like the chainmail, *but, i think that the feet are too short.otherwise very good. I think your main points are your attention to detail like the rips at the bottom of the cape and how the blade is worn down. Very nicely done!
