Wow Redpear. I'm with everyone else when I say that I love this background you got going on here. The only thing I find kinda sorta off is that there's two red lines (One by her blade and one by a flag) that look more like laser beams than embers. Shortening them or giving them a bit of a curve would fix that I think (I leave such judgments to you). In spite of that though, this is Grade A+ work. As always, I'm impressed with the work that you put out.

For bullets, maybe try adding some bright yellow to indicate that it's a bullet or maybe focus on the point of impact, where clouds of dust and small pieces of debris go flying along with the color? There's not a lot of tutorials out there that can help I think, so I guess the best course of action would be to watch a few movies, either live or anime-ish, that have gunfire involved and try to mimic what you see by experimenting with whatever graphics program you prefer.
Keep up the good work though! I look forward to the next picture!
