The concept comes from a novel I'm working on (Fyrelocke {Book One of the Fyrestone Collection}), sections refer to a magical creature called a "Puriform". The description of a puriform is as follows:

Rubbing his eyes a few times, he realized that maybe he was still sleeping after all, because sitting on the bed – inches from his arm – was a creature he could not quite name. It was pure white, had immense eyes, and was either large for a bunny, larger yet for a guinea pig, or grotesquely large for a mouse. It looked like each of those, and yet none – although from the size of it, and the long ears, he was thinking more bunny than anything.

While startled to find this creature sitting on his bed, he was hardly shocked by it. So many odd things had been happening that, aside from pulling back a trifle, he barely reacted at all.

What was most peculiar was the penetrating stare with which it gazed at him – it left little doubt that this was no house pet. That and the fact that it was sitting – as a person would – rather than lying on its belly – as a rabbit might.

By the way, the character's name is Trygg (Indo-European root, means "true"; short for Trygth, means "Truth"). What do you think? Based on the description, is this too bunny-looking?
