I almost had a heart attack when I saw this!
Excalibur was one of my favourite comics when I first started reading comics...I picked up a big box of them for only 25 cents an issue in Saskatoon, and I chewed right through them. Love the original roster...Nightcrawler was always my favourite, but they're all awesome.
As for the actual art, amazing. The composition is fantastic...it would make a great cover for a collection of the comic. The colouring is very powerful, especially the balance between warm colours in the back with Rachel and cool colours in the front with Kitty.

wow awesome! i have a bunch of issues with this roster, but my favourite ones are the beginning with alan davis penciling up to the cross time caper. and i loved the covers of those early issues!

i think i would almost have a heart attack if this could be a cover for a comic collection! Kitty is my all time fave so she was definitely going in front and the rest just seemed to fall into place. and it just happened that the colouring naturally went from warm to cool.

Oh yeah, those first issues were amazing! Loved the stories and the art especially. I actually miss Kitty's old costume...it was more unique compared to the other X-Men outfits.

No problem! Haha, yes, there aren't a whole lot of people who have read the original issues of Excalibur!

I don't know this comic, but I can still appreciate the art.
I quite admire your style of colouring and especially love the female character at the bottom and the glowing blue hues reflected on her.
