Description My last altar pentacle broke, so I eventually had to make a new one. The only reason I use them is because they are quite useful for placing ingredients for spells on, so I don't lose them ^.^

The theban around the pentacle says: Cerridwen, Cernunnos, witness and empower my spell. Blessed be.

Also has the 4 seasons and the 5 elements, with their alchemical symbols. ALSO!! I have the triple Goddess symbol and the Horned God symbol.

Enjoy as much as I did!

This is lovely. I'm curious, where did you get the wood to make it? I would love to make one myself, for similar reasons as yours, but I don't know where to start.

Oh, and are those symbols for earth/air/fire/water facing up? I wasn't sure if you turned the pentacle for each... then I would have been confused.

I painted the symbols so when the Spirit point of the pentacle is facing upwards, they are correct.

And it's pine wood, I got it from the clock making section of my local arts and crafts store

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that. They have an entire clock making section at yours? The best I can hope for is wood carving/burning, and that may not be the type I need. Thanks!

If they do have a woodcarving/burning section at yours, ask for wood rounds. They should help you from there. But be careful! This is the only one that I found that wasn't basswood (a really soft, easily carved wood) unless an easily carved wood is what your looking for!

I usually avoid balsawood, but now that you mention it, perhaps I should try carving it... hmm. Thanks!
