Description The hardest thing that I have ever made, and its not even that well made. Its a Brigid's cross, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it. During Imbolc celebrations, I make these in honor of Brigid, the Goddess that represents the flowing of ewe's milk. Imbolc is translated from Oimelc, meaning 'Ewe's Milk'. I'm wearing this to my Imbolc ritual, but I do hope that its stays together! I think I have to do some saudering to help it retain its shape, like I said, I didn't make it well, it hurt the fingers because I don't have needle nose pliers :/

But other than that, for my second time trying, I think it worked out well in comparison. Hope you like it!

I know that it isn't a large picture, forgive for that!

Nice job. Did you soak the reeds? That helps with flexibilty to lessen pain.

I haven't made it yet, my ritual was cancelled, so I am waiting. I will soak them, though, because the less painful, the more enjoyable! Thank you for the tip

I think it turned out beautifully! Also love that you made it out of copper, since Brighid is also a Goddess of smithing or metalwork.

No solder, no torch, I just wrapped it inside of itself.

And its 20 gauge, 100% copper.

I see cool did you just by raw wire or did you strip it from something?

No, it's raw. You can pick it up at a Michael's store, if your in the US. If not, try any arts and crafts store. Just ask for the wire for wrapping.
