MY USERNAME HELPS ME MAKE FRIENDS *laughs loudly*
And my artwork gives poor stray DevinatArt artists believe they actually watched a decent human being, lol.
Thank you! But really, I love that you have such good taste in anime/manga. Have you ever read Magi, by the way? I do not see much of that in your gallery and-

Man I loved this anime. I have not seen it since it came out though. This makes me want to revisit it. Such beautiful inking.

I've been meaning to get that. Where did you find it for download, if you don't mind me asking? There used to be an anime store near where I worked so I bought most of my soundtracks, they were pretty cheap too, only fifteen bucks a pop. I listen to them most days, always when working. My two Cowboy Bebops are by far the best, and I love the Trigun one as well. But I'd love to have Champloo.

Omg love the music from Cowboy Bebop! Has to be the best of all time. I just downloaded it on my phone. One of those free mp3 apps. Just searched Samurai Champloo and downloaded everything they had. Idk if i got it all. Song of the Seasons was what i was really looking for, soo good. I'll have to try and find Trigun. Good call

Wolf's Rain is by Yoko Kanno (Bebop) and is also very good.
There are two Bebop albums that I know of, the original soundtrack and Blue. Blue has more of the esoteric songs on there and the best imo is 'Call Me Call Me' and of course 'Blue'. I wish I still had that series on DVD. My ex took all the anime except for Slayers when we split in 2005. Bebop, Trigun, Scrapped Princess, full series of Dragonball and Dragonball Z, Ninja Scroll and Urosukadojji. I took the Slayers when he wasn't looking lol. I'm really pissed about the Dragonball as that cost me a flipping fortune but what can you do? First world nerd problems sigh. Β

Yeah that's why they are exes lol.
As far as I know he never found another gf so he can just sit in a miserable little ball and watch that anime alone forever.
Fortunately we never lived together (really why I dumped him as he would not move out from his mother's house) so I didn't have to split any big stuff. But yes it's so annoying when you go halvies in stuff in a long term relationship and end up getting screwed at the end. At $30 a pop for those Dragonball dvds it must have been at least $500 worth.
I wish I had the Bebop manga but I can't find it anywhere. I'm hoping to find it if I move to the states later in the year. There is a Japan Town near where I'm looking to live. That and the Slayers novels would be very nice to have.

With cel painting you have to do the shading first as I recall. Then the main body of colour over the top. It's really hard. I couldn't imagine doing it over and over again for an anime.
Yeah sushi does sound good! Nowhere around where I am to get that.
I've heard good things as well and have sworn if we go there I am never ever cooking again. Take away every night. The only things I'll be doing is writing and drawing and enjoying the weather! I can hardly wait.

Oh I see I see! They sound very interesting to use. How many colours do you have and how many do they come in? I like the idea of these a lot. You seem to get that nice blocky shading you see in hand drawn anime with them. I never see that in digital works really, that old fashioned look.

Yeah that is basically what they are made for. They are made in Japan, one reason they are so expensive. I only have 10 so far, skin tones, 3 shades of grey and a black, which i need to get a refil for. The sketch markers come in 358 colors. Which is every color that Copic makes. Which is why most artists go with the sketch over the ciao or original.

I'll have to look into getting some. I think I saw some at an art store once but they were all black, I didn't see colours.
I have several different variations of skin tone so this is probably going to become a bloody expensive exercise, lol.

They are $7 a piece in stores in the US. I've seen them as low as around $5 online. I buy a few at a time so it doesn't seem so bad lol. But yeah from what i've heard copic has the best selection of skin tones out there. I really need to go get a paler one than the 6 i have.

Cool, thanks, I'll look into it. You're right, the blow probably won't seem so big if you buy a few.

So is it like a fountain pen then and you fill it up? I will have to remember to not leave the lid off.
I use paper mate pens from the supermarket. The kind that are $2 a pack. And I kill them so fast, my bin is full of them.

I guess you just drip the ink onto one of the tips. Seems easy. The nibs or tips are replaceable also
