# About me

For as long as I can remember (probably longer) I have been drawn towards all forms of art (traditional, theatre, music and so on..).
I have always been torn between my love of art and my love of science, so when it came time for me to choose further education I was quite torn.
All through high school I had been pushed by my teachers and encouraged by my classmates when it came to art, so I chose to do a Diploma of Visual Art, to give me time to decide what to specialise in.
I found the course itself to be uninspiring and wasn't learning many new things. The art world seemed pretentious and the prospect of relying on art for an income was not something I liked to think about.
When I finished the course, still having no idea what path to take and regretting not perusing science, some people suggested that game design might be a better, and more reliable option.
I didn't like the idea, at first, but upon beginning the course (fuelled by my determination that maybe one day being employed by Valve), I found that it was exactly what I was looking for.
My art is used in practical, useful ways and I can incorporate my love of music, design and just about everything else.
