Description
Believe it or not, this concept has always been on my mind. Originally I made Azule with red eyes, back when I was 11 years old. I stayed true to that depiction of him for many years (despite finding out Azul meant blue at 14) I didnt want him to change too much from his original form, I loved his large pitch black iris and the slight red ring around it, to me, it made him look intimidating. But hell, I decided "Why not give this blue concept a shot?" and what do you know, he still looks pretty damn scary, hell even more so! i do like it, his eyes really stand out from his body as well.the question is, should a ninja keep it?

of course this does mean he may get confused with "pops" I'll probably have to sit pops down in a chair and give him a nice shave xD

Lmao this is amazing..You're starting to make me try different eye colors with my protagonist, he also has blue eyes but he's too kind hearted to be intimidating because he fights for his friends .D.

Now you have the look of a hero.
I find blue and green eyes on intimidating characters makes it easier to quickly identify them as "hero" or "compassionate side character", so I feel it works pretty good on him.

I had never considered that, blue and green symbolic of compassionate or heroic. That dies make a lot of sense and is why red is usually used for evil intent characters. Interesting

Though red does work for a hero when it's a reformed villain or something like that. My OC Christine has red eyes, 'cause she's a evil demon-turned-bounty hunter. But I'm guessing Azule doesn't have that kind of background.

Man I'm still trippin off this redesigned costume. Looks so cool to me. It may come as a surprise, but I'm a big fucking fan of red eyes & they'll always hold a special place in my heart. But I gotta say that the blue eyes really pop with the rest of his design.

funny thing I had done in his back story was that: on his planet, red is blue; and blue is red so he and the team constantly get into arguments over it- even messing up on certain missions becuase he was "supposed to attack the [Red one]" and attacked blue instead xD

That sounds super funny. I can only imagine the chaos that would break out mid-battle as they all argue over the "correct" color haha.
