Description Mouflons (Ovis aries orientalis) are now shedding their winter coats, so they look particularly unattractive.

These females and the young one are a part of a large herd that consists of over 100 animals. It is to be found (not without a little effort) somewhere not far from where I live, in south-western Poland, and is one of the largest mouflon herds in this part of Europe.

Were I grew up, Apeldoorn, the Netherlands there were a lot of them as well, in the Royal Woods behind Palace Het Loo.

Well, this is a cery small part of the herd. The whole of it consists of well over one hundred animals. Amazing when you see them more or less together.
