Oh wow, that's so flattering to hear! I never thought that this silly parody would have such an impact. Thanks for sharing that with me! XD

mokonaxmodoki [2012-03-12 14:18:41 +0000 UTC]

anthropomorphic would mean "human shaped", and last time I checked, donkeys/mules or whatever aren't human. The correct term would have to be "zoomorphic" or animal shaped.

But this is a very nice comic and it inspired me very much <3

raizy In reply to mokonaxmodoki [2012-03-12 15:03:01 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the compliment!
...But you're wrong about the definition of anthropomorphic. Anthropomorphizing something doesn't necessarily mean that the shape is changed to look like a human. If there was a story where the wind was unchanged except it had a voice or a personality, even that would be anthropomorphic wind. Same thing with a tree that is described to feel sad, or with the rabbits in the book Watership Down. Since the donkey in my comic talks and can use a computer, then it can be considered anthropomorphic. Zoomorphism is just a subcategory that refers to anthropomorphism being applied exclusively to non-human animals, not a completely separate idea.

I was just basing myself on the greek root words that we learned on high school, so I admit I didn't have an in depth definition for anthropomorphic. Thank you for clearing it up!

Oh this is terribly terribly accurate. SUCH A GOOD JOB. Also apparently your Slightly Damned comic is the only cute comic I've ever read for more than a few strips..... Reading through really fast (as in the whole archive in a day) shows just how much you've improved too! It's pretty amazing (was pretty decent to begin with, now it just seems to flow from your hands!).

Keep up the good work!

This is amazing...I can totally relate. I especially love it when the ass is like 'TTEEEEE let's draw something' at 2am...I'm often inspired when I'm trying to sleep...I should actually get up the next time that happens. Not.

Wow, I read the original comic beforehand, so I knew what you were parodying, but then as soon as I saw the donkey, I knew what you were going for! The time I usually draw most is 2 AM~

JessieShadowhold [2011-06-13 05:50:11 +0000 UTC]

Lol, it's so true. And sometimes the anthropomorphic representation of my writing spirit (probably would be female dog, if you know what I mean) teams up with the drawing spirit to kick my but out of bed... or get me in trouble in the middle of lecture. You would think a professor wouldn't care much that you're drawing things killing each other during his lecture. He gets payed either way.

Oh my crap chu, I so know your pain.
You want to sleep, something inside you wants to write. You want to write, that same something decides to piss a few hours away checking stuff it knows hasn't updated since the last time you checked.
Stupid artistic soul-ass.
