Drangsnes, Iceland, on a quiet beautiful evening. I used two nd filters for this but it's still a little over exposed, I need a little more practice...Related content

It looks great! The exposure is well balanced in my opinion and the colors (especially the reflection of the sky in the water!) are simply amazing.

You could do an HDR instead, but other than that a single picture against the light source is always a compromise.

HDR... I'm afraid I'm not quite so advanced in the art of postprocessing yet but I might learn it some time

It's really a simple technique. You take several pictures at different exposures from the same angle with a tripod. (Use the +/- key on your camera or see in your manual regarding a bracketing function - you might see a 'BKT' key on your SLR). Then you use a software like Photomatix to put the pictures together and combine them. There is a nice online tutorial: [link]

Photomatix is the best software I know for it. It's worth every cent. (And no, they don't pay me to say that, though, thinking about it I should ask them...
