they have this king on traffic lights on the old photos, so I think its correct.

I've checked the comments to be sure to not be the only one that note the traffic light imprecision.
I've to say that never existed in Italy the red+amber phase. It's and was always direct green after red. BUT in the "old" italian Highway Code (1959-1992) there was a green+amber phase! It was before the red phase and after the green-one. It was removed in the New Highway Code.

Aye, and now they have the flashing green instead of green and yellow. I asked Italian friends of age about 40 and 50 and they don't remember that red + yellow would have been used in their times. On the other hand it is still just a side note thing, it won't lessen the effect of a great painting.

Beautiful artwork!Β I especially like the reflection from the wet streets and the glow of the lights.Β just out of curiosity, what's your favorite vintage Italian car?Β Mine are the Fiat 124 Spyder and the 500, and the Ferrari Testa Rossa.

I like more of them, but top favourite is Lancia Flavia coupe I guess, or Fiat Dino.

Damn, you've made a really atmospheric painting here. All the red and orange, feels really fuzzy warm while still being a painting of slightly cold outside.

Fulvia and Giulia Super? If so, you've managed to pick two of my absolute favourite cars (and both of which I've come very close to buying at one point or another... before remembering that my budget probably wouldn't stretch to running another daft Italian car).
Beautiful picture too. The lighting is gorgeous, and I always love seeing your slightly painterly digital brush work. The choice of signage is a nice touch as well. Spectacular.

The first thing I thought looking at your picture was: funny how this looks like a walk in time...
Well done. Caught the mood perfectly. Cinzano! Those guys were sure effective at getting their brand high and wide everywhere, even when their drink was out of taste (probably shouldn't write that! lol).
