It's an animation college. I enjoyed every moment of it but I should admit it won't quite secure my future.

What kind of classes are there or did you take?

Most of the classes are mandatory. We don't get much electives which makes us less and less versatile.

I see. I plan to go to a digital media arts college in the future to take on animation. What kind of classes are mandatory?

it depends on the university really. Do a bit of research on yours.
Digital Media arts sounds like a more versatile course than mine.

That's actually the name of the college. DMAC is the college that I am going to is in Florida. I've seen what they have once. They even had a manga/anime room where I saw other's manga drawings.
But what dumbfounds me is why they would want me. I discovered them at my high school and they asked for me to visit to talk about my art skills.

RadenWA In reply to EternashOldAccount [2012-11-27 06:56:15 +0000 UTC]
Well, they look pretty specialized then. It's better than my uni, because the animation course only have like 3 classrooms in a single floor in a building. And yet they call it the best animation course in the country.
Don't worry, even in my course I found people who are still worse than you in the artistic level.
The biggest problem with those courses is that, if you do your hobby as your career, you can no longer do it as a hobby or for fun.
Why don't you consult Brandon and see how that huggable rebel punk get his graphic design career?

RadenWA In reply to EternashOldAccount [2012-11-27 07:11:34 +0000 UTC]
Not they I suppose....but people just suggest the course so much. It's like one of those small, hidden cafes that everyone just tells you to go to.
Nope, many people had no experience with digital stuffs too at first. Having a traditional base before you move traditional is BETTER than being digital with no traditional base.
Huggable, glompable, mud-roller lol. Why don't you just email/call him or contact him somehow?

isn't it interesting how the once rejected punk rebel is now busy with work and career? I really want to know more about him, he should write a biography.

yes.
But at least he didn't change his way of gearing, or do I expect him to show up in a suit and dress shoes now? lol.

Well, it's reasonable, being a graphic designer doesn't really require you to be all that formal. Especially in freelance.

By lethal do you mean he got stuffs like spiked leather jacket, leather pants and newrock boots or such?

EternashOldAccount In reply to RadenWA [2012-11-27 17:06:33 +0000 UTC]
Yes, yes, and hell yeah. But he only has like one of each. Last year, when I was hugging him, I had a hole the size of a quarter on my side. -_-

You hugged him while he's wearing a spiked leather jacket? Quite a bold move!
SO HE DOES HAVE NEWROCKS?

Lol. Now I am more cautious before hugging anyone. :/
He never wore anything spiky then. It was recent when he got some spiky gear.

Uhh isn't that really easy? Just use a different-colored brush for outlining!

haha, man, the boots this guy got is called "Rigger Boots". The newrock one, however, is very close, and to be honest, might be better if you really gonna cosplay this guy.....but ah screw it. Cosplay or not, that boots is awesome and I will always dream of getting that.
