Earthbender Kristoff. I went back and forth on whether to make him an earth or waterbender. But in the end, I imagined that the trolls would teach Kristoff earthbending.
I am just now getting caught up on season 3 of Korra. I LOVE it so far. Can't wait to see how the season unfolds.

But that still cant result in a child with both. Otherwise you would have seen many cases of that on the show and that would make the Avatar a lot less special.
