Finished work for my llady and my anniversary this past January, based on this:From left to right, here's who's who.

Colored pencils, yeah. I prefer working with them, but sometimes do watercolor too.

That is true. Scanners are not perfect. Close but not quite.

I went all digital a while back, for a few reasons. One is that I simply do not have the space for a scanner.

That is definitely a drawback. That and I imagine there are a lot of other plusses to going digital. I'm just really attached to the feel of pencil and paper in my hands. I think it adds something to my work that wouldn't be there if I did it on a computer.

Yeah I can see that. I don't think that digital will ever be able to feel like that. I guess you could carefully tape paper onto a tablet. But that probably wouldn't work. I am happy with digital as it is far more forgiving, and I need all the forgiveness I can get. I do a lot of little tweaks.
