Jay's down there at the bottom going "Cyclondo!" on a very poorly-drawn ghost. Sorry, but with resolution that was about the best I could do.

Okay! Some words for the piece itself: I like Kai's nitty-gritty face, I like how Nya turned out and I really like how Lloyd and Morro turned out. The rest...I definitely still have room to improve. And painting has never been my strong suit, but I gave it a shot for you guys! If you want, you can try painting it on your own - just grab the lineart here: Link

As for some words about the season: Geesh. So far I'm having a love-hate relationship with it. Just this season though!
1. I like that Zane is back.
2. I like that Kai is still (sort of) the main character, pretty much. He is still what TvTropes calls, "The Supporting Protagonist." If you ask me. He's my favorite, so my viewpoint on that may be biased.
3. I like Ronin. He's legit. It's a shame, I hadn't really seen the episodes with him before I started sketching this or I totally would have tried to put him in there somewhere.
4. I like that Nya's character is becoming more involved. If you haven't watched past episode 46, I will say no more. For those of you who have, you know what I mean.
5. I like how each of the ninja tried leading. It gave us a chance to see each of the characters stand out a bit more. I feel like Jay and Cole got a bit sidelined after a while, especially by season 4. They had their little spat over Nya in the arena, but that was about it. Jay's wisecracks are, as always, very much appreciated.

Here's what I don't like (whoo boy):
1. I don't like that PIXAL is still in Zane's head. I would have thought they had constructed a new body for her by now, but I guess she's happy as Zane's Cortana. You know what, it works either way, I'm not too upset about that.
2. Lloyd. Possessed. Really?! Come on!
3. Sixteen realms? *Sigh* yes. Let's make things more complicated for my small brain to try and wrap itself around. What about the child demographic this show is supposed to be aimed towards? I'm an adult. If I can't wrap my head around it, what are they going to do?...Although, it may later serve as a plot point or two for more seasons.
4. Cole a ghost? Actually that one's not so bad. It's more understandable in context. That was my favorite episode of the season so far, to be honest.
5. They're teasing Wu and Misako again...Make up your mind, woman. I get that they're probably thinking Garmadon's dead, and the whole drama last season with the letter and stuff, but...I like Garmadon now! In fact, I like him way more than I ever liked Wu! In FACT, none of the stuff happening in season 5 would be happening at all if it wasn't for Wu and his mistakes! Not Garmadon's. Wu's. *Whew* sorry. Moving on.
6. The ninja's powers are gone again. I understand that it's because their powers are now tied to Lloyd's as of season 3, but I still feel like it's a bit of a butt-pull. Also, I suppose if they really did have their powers, they would have stopped Morro before the first episode was over, and that would have been it.
7. No Skylor. I know that's a lame point to make, but I want Skylor back really bad. She had some great sarcasm, and to see how her character could develop in the aftermath of season 4...there's some serious potential there. If she's not even going to be referenced in this season (which is very likely) then I at least hope she'll be in season 6 in some way, shape or form. If they make a season 6 - AGH! I don't want to jinx it! Oh I sure hope they make a season 6. To make it fair, no mention of any of the elemental masters is a shame.
8. Again this is a bit of a lame point, but I was actually expecting Jay's character to be developed the most this season, since he is the only ninja so far to have demonstrated the manipulation of wind in a previous episode ("The Green Ninja," the one where Kai unlocks his full potential - and one of my favorite episodes of the whole series.) I liked seeing Jay drop the funny act last season in his fight with Cole, and I would have loved to see him do it again versus Morro. They haven't aired the end of the show yet, so I suppose it's still possible...but I won't hold my breath.

And I think that's it! Holy cow. Can someone say 'nerd' about all the writing above? Sheesh. Well, here are my fingers crossed about the rest of the season! What do you guys thinks about it so far? Do you agree or disagree with the points I've made? I would love to hear what you guys think! And thanks for being patient with this one, I know it took me a while to do! I'll have more in the future for sure
