Tremorworks project: Harpy, take 3.
This is still the nekkid harpy with great brass wings and raptor's talons, but she's a little more modest now.
She's also a little darker than her predecessor, but I think the drawing still works pretty well.

The wings did take some time, but I just tackled each feather with a simple shading scheme, then balanced out the whole wing with some extra shading to make it look the way I wanted. I ususally don't pay attention to the time when I'm in the thick of the project; otherwise I'd probably go crazy.

I can imagine! This is just simply one of my favorite pieces and its those details and hard work that make it so! : )
However, you might want to consider making another harpy to replace this one once I steal her back to my lair! *runs off with her!* : )

There are a couple of different versions up here... This is the finale I used for the Tremorworks project. Further back in the gallery (and I think I included it in the Tremorworks collection) is a different version with a slightly more open pose.

I dig the shading. You really put a lot of heart in these pics... I love it! *but the lack of space on the left hurts my eyes ><* Marvelously talented? O_o Me?!? Ah, stop jokin', please xD.

I fixed up the space on the left. The scanner cut off a little sliver of white space that really needed to be there. I'll upload the adjusted version with my next batch of pictures.

Yup, scanner can be real beeyotch sometimes. If you haven't you can name it. Possibly, it would work better

OK, cool. I just put the small version in my book for layout, and it looked weird with it chopped off. I really like all of them though! Can't wait to see more!
