I imagine that'd hurt, actually, if you trimmed an Asmodian's claws too far. I mean look at them, they're extensions of his fingers. Probably the tips are dull and don't feel much, but I imagine there are tons of nerves in them like in animal claws. It'd be one painful manner of torture, cutting their claws.
