The Dregion is the mastership of the Balaur, an organic machine that shoots lasers as well as dropping Balaur onto the ground. It's impenetrable from the outside, and if you see it coming the only option is to run.

The Eylos on my server are a bit weak on the PvP at the moment, we're barely managing to hold Krotan, and haven't taken another upper fort since we lost Roah and Asteria to the Asmos and Miren to the Balaur. The lower forts regularly switch hands, but last I checked, the lower Abyss was an Asmo lake xD

The upper Abyss is currently all Asmodian. I was RPing in Kysis once and got ganked WITHIN the walls of our own fortress!!! ... Worst possible scene to walk in on, too.

My Legion helped take the lower eastern fort near our base and JUST as times were about to run out on upper, the ship came. We slammed an announcement to the area and EVERYONE dogpiled in. We killed the elite trying to kill our elite. Talk about double victory. ^_^

Apparently the Dredgion doesn't really shoot lasers, but I swear to god I saw a video of that somewhere ... oh well! It does drop Balaur raiders though, and in the hundreds, so ....

I can never bring myself to try the solid ink blocking technique of most mainstream comics because I feel like the details will get lost in the black. That and I suck at shading, so I never know where the place the things.

I think it makes it look almost... Nostalgic. It brings me back to when I did everything traditionally, and didn't have photoshop. All I had was a mechanical pencil and an eraser, so I had to vary the shading lines and do it all manually. No fancy whippersnapper programs.
It's a nice feeling. 8D Somehow it gives the impression it's more detailed, if that makes sense?

Heh, maybe it just looks that way because of the lines everywhere from the cross-hatching. The border was filled in on Photoshop, though - I didn't want to kill a good pen just for that!

I've never seen the Dredgion attack, only float by Primum Fort once, and it was teeny in the distance.

I've seen it 'attack' couple times but usually it's just appearing over a fort it's going to attack and MAGICALLY out of thin air balaur elites spawn around and in the fort etc.
And then there was once time when everyone was sitting around vulnerable fort to defend it, dred appeared....then it was swerving crazy drunk driving for good thirty minute before actually popping an attack. Was making people really anxious and '-.-' worthy.
On sidenote: One of my Aion ultimate goal is to sit on that thing and take screenshot of it. Attempted about..three-four times?
