Seeing as how Shamus wants to do Ryoko, I have to draw him the occasional Ryoko picture. And then cry, because he obviously has no taste. I mean...what?Anyway, I've had this Ryoko lineart lying around for five thousand years, and finally decided to scan it in. I might colour it both digitally, and with markers/pencil crayons, just depends on how motivated I am. My problem is, before I actually go ahead with colouring it traditionally, I really should design a background for it. Seeing as how I have no mind of my own, I thought to maybe post it here and see what kind of suggestions for backgrounds I might get.
That, and anyone who wants to take a stab at colouring this sucker may have at it. I find it to be fun to colour other peoples drawings, so there have to be other people of the same mind, and who might be crazy enough to want to colour something of mine. So if you want to colour it, go ahead, just let me see the finished product.
Ryoko belongs to Masaki Kajishima (I think? I don't know, I'm not a Tenchi dork)

Yep, you can go ahead and colour it. And nope, I didn't trace it. Back in the day I would do my sketch in my sketchbook, and then I would tape a piece of tracing paper over the sketch and do the clean line art on the tracing paper. So I did technically trace it, but it was my own drawing that I traced.

I know very little about boobs anyway. I feel pretty bad about the New Orleans destruction. (If school weren't a necessity now, I'd pitch in the aid) Regardless, if you feel the need to take a trip and indulge in the culture, Lafayette is just as good and without the crime. Technically the Acadians came from Canada, so HEY!

Ohh, I didn't know there was a lot of crime in New Orleans. Well...I know there is right now because everyone is panicking...
But...but you promise that there is still delicious food and wonderful music in Lafayette? Ohhh, mayhaps a visit is in order then. We can eat food, and draw comics, and then eat some more food, and listen to music, and then eat some more food, and then have dessert.
And yes, I was surprised to learn that a big chunk of the people down there were Canadians. They were French Canadians though. The whole Quebec area seems like a totally different country to me, even though I'm dating somebody who grew up in Quebec.

um... hmmm. Wow. For someone so indecisive, your lines are incredibly precise. So you like to color other people's work AND you can do lineart? The comic indistry needs you. Oh and coloring traditionally sounds nice just because it's becoming extinct.

I still say you're a potential canidate (canadian?) for such a career. No, I live in Lafayette which is just as hurricane worthy, but unlike New Orleans we're not under sea level. Katrina just missed us.

Oh, thank goodness you're okay. It still makes me sad about New Orleans though, I wanted to go there so bad. Not to drink and show everyone my boobs mind you (the world isn't ready for my boobs, it's a sight that would kill millions). I wanted to go stuff myself full of creole cooking, and listen to authentic blues.

Ah, but I don't watch Tenchi at all, so I've got no clue what she looks like in the new OAVS. As a matter of fact, I only knew that there were new OAVs out when we were at the store and Shamus got all excited. I didn't really understand how the series worked, regarding the order that it goes in.
My only knowledge of the show is based on the six episodes of the original OAV and a couple of Tenchi in Tokyo, and some doujins that Shamus has.
I knew that I liked that big baggy yellow and blue striped robe that she wears (I think it's cute) and there was one illustration in the doujin where they drew her with really thick eyelashes. So, it was a Ryoko with striped robe and big eyelashes.
I'll investigate and see what she looks like now, and mayhaps one day, I'll draw her like that. But then again, time should be spent on drawing characters that I do know and love, ie, the Evangelion girls.

Ah. I totally agree about the EVA girls. I was always fond of Rei, even though she's fake.
Well, she pretty much looks the same... I think she has a new outfit or two in the new OVAs. They're finishing what was left in OVA 13 some 10,000 years ago. I'm just happy the creator started on the series again, 'cause it was kinda left hanging.

This summer they released the third part of Tenchi Muyo!
You know, the series that came out in liek 95.
I guess they wanted to play around with a few other series before they finished it.

Yeah, we saw the first DVD the other day, and Shamus tried to explain it to me, how the series went, and I thought it was stupid. They should at least label this new Ryo-ohki series a little differently so dumbasses like me can tell it apart from the first Ryo-ohki OAVs

on a pile of ryo ohki plushies.... just a few ideas... very nice lineart... I wouldn't dare color it though...... I'd just feel like I'd desecrate her delicate eyes/face.
