Description
This is from a sketch that had been lying around for a few months. I wanted to try my hands at colouring with markers, so colouring an old drawing seemed to be a good idea (plus, I had the right colours needed to colour Dota) I totally screwed up her outfit though. She's supposed to have pink cloth over her hair buns and different earrings, and there's some other stuff that I did wrong too. Hurrah.What's sick is that that background took me a couple hours to do. A simple cloud background took hours. HOURS. Hurgh. Renee is not good at backgrounds. Also, thank you to Tony for the help with the background.
Done with Prismacolour markers, Prismacolour pencil crayons, and white watercolour paint on cardstock. Background done in Adobe Photoshop. PHEW

Your shading is so amazingly good like WOAH. The shinies (especially the one on her arm) are so nice, and the blue wants to ensnare my soul. The perspective on her arms looks awesome.

Tira and Marron were my faves, but Dota was always so cute and had big boobs. Here's a shocking Maury secret though. I had only seen like 6 episodes of that show. Something like six episodes, anyway.

GASP! I got the first 20 on fansubbed tapes like RIGHT when the show finished it's first run on japanese TV... and I'm kicking myself because I never got the last tape, so I dunno how it ends.

I <3 fansubbed tapes. I had the first season of Sailor Moon fansubbed on tape. And then was stupid and bought the crappy ADV DVDs as well. Aughhh ADV

I agree! I was so cranky about the glitches on the Sailor Moon boxes, and then they made two Evangelion Directors Cut DVDs even though they could have made just one. Instead they released episodes 24-26 on DVD even though it was only episode 24 with a Directors Cut episode. And that Directors Cut had about five extra minutes of stuff. Aughhh ADV you suck.

She looks absolutely amazing! I love her. You did an excellent job with getting her proportions right and not wonky- that angle of her arms is pretty feckin hard to do. I read your description and I was like "Omg- how did she get the cloud background with markers?!" and then I read it was in Photoshop. *cries* I'm trying to learn how to do backgrounds as well. But I only have markers and coloured pencils to work with.

man, I love how soft and lovely both the lines and colors are. I really need to get my hands on some prisma markers and pencils, it looks like you did super things with them.. I don't think I've ever been able to acheive any colors that even on paper. :I

Very cute! I could tell from the front page who she was, so you must have done a good job with her likeness. ^___^ The colours and anatomy look great, I like her expression also. I love the feathers, they look so soft. I also like the shine on her arm and the red tone to the elbow. I also like the way parts of her go out of the background. Nice composition!
