This piece is based on a character design I did quite some time ago for the sky spirit in my written series. In my art her face commonly appears in the sun or moon. There has been some exaggeration of the portrait in this image - but I like it!

ooo this is beautiful!!! how do you color like that? i need/want to learn how to color with other things than just colored pencils! very beautiful! and yep fullview is a must!!! i love this, so beautiful! (sorry i m a bit repetitive) lol

Thanx! I mostly used gouache for this. I don't know if you've heard of it, but its a type of thickened watercolour that goes on the paper opaque so that you can make really flat areas of colour with it. All the softer colouring was done with pastels and Q-tips. For that just rub the Q-tip on the stick of pastel until some colour comes off onto the cotton - then lightly smudge the Q-tip onto the paper. Hope that was helpful!
